Prosecution of subjects buying drugs abroad and bringing them to Vietnam
On June 4, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port, Nghe An Province Border Guard issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case for the crime of "Illegal possession of narcotics".
Previously, on May 29, at Tan Nghia hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district, the working group of the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, together with the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port, co-chaired the arrest of Le Van Hien (born in 1993), permanent resident of hamlet 3, Dien Thap commune, Dien Chau district, for "Illegal possession of drugs".

Seized evidence includes: 6 pink synthetic drug pills weighing 0.535 grams and a package of marijuana weighing 5.480 grams.
According to Le Van Hien's statement, the subject bought the above drugs abroad, hid them on his person, then entered the country through Cha Lo International Border Gate, Quang Binh province, and brought them back to Vietnam for use.
Currently, the unit is coordinating with the Drug and Crime Prevention Department to conduct an expanded investigation of the case, complete the file and transfer it to the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency according to regulations.
