Prosecution of the suspect who opened fire, causing 7 casualties

Regarding the shooting in Lang Son, today, January 17, the leader of Lang Son Provincial Police said that this unit has decided to prosecute the case and prosecute the accused Ly Van San (50 years old) for murder. San is the ex-husband of Ms. Hoang Thi Toan.

Before that, at about 9:00 p.m. on January 13,The family of Ms. Hoang Thi Hoai (born in 1983) - (Hoai is Ms. Hoang Thi Toan's younger sister) was having dinner in the kitchen when the subject San held a gun from behind the house and shot through the kitchen window, causing Pham Thanh Phong (born in 2008 - Ms. Hoai's son) to die on the spot.

Then, San took the gun to the tire workshop of Mr. Hoang Quoc Huong (born in 1977 - Hoai's brother) 15 meters away and continued to shoot, killing Mr. Huong. At the scene, the police seized many bullet shells.

The shooting killed two people and injured five others, including Hoang Thi Hoai, Hoang Thi Toan (born in 1981, Hoai's sister), Chu Thi Hong (born in 1991 - Hoai's sister-in-law), Vu Xuan Huong (born in 1982 - shop worker), and Nguyen Van Tuyen (born in 2001 - shop worker).

Immediately after the incident, San fled the area.

According to the investigation agency, San had been married once but was divorced. In 2012, San married Ms. Hoang Thi Toan, but in 2015 the two went to court for divorce because San was abusive.

Not accepting the divorce, San often called Toan to bother her, asking to get back together, but she and her family did not agree, leading to the tragedy above.

Currently, Lang Son Provincial Police are still actively searching for San. In particular, Lang Son Provincial Police have discussed with Chinese police about the possibility of Ly Van San crossing the border because it only takes 15 minutes to walk from the area where the suspect is hiding to China./.
