During the argument, Ms. Thuan took a stick to beat her husband. Out of anger, Hoang snatched the stick and beat his wife to death. After his wife died, Hoang dismembered her body into many parts and hid them in the toilet septic tank. The bloody shirt and sickle used to dismember Hoang's body were also thrown away.
After that, after not seeing Ms. Thuan for a while, the victim's family and neighbors asked, and Hoang replied that his wife had run away with another man. During the time their relative was missing, Ms. Thuan's family filed a report with the police, saying that Ms. Thuan's disappearance was not normal.
Receiving the case, the police started investigating. On May 11, 2017, Hoang went to the police station to confess to killing his wife after 4 years of silence.
Conducting an excavation at the house of suspect Nguyen Trung Hoang, the authorities discovered a human skeleton under the septic tank, suspected to be Hoang's wife. In addition, the police also discovered a Thai knife measuring 29cm long, with a 5cm blade at its widest point, an iron sickle, a shower head, a pair of men's pants, a set of clothes and a women's jacket.
Currently, the authorities have brought bone samples for examination to clarify the case.
