Man charged with stabbing police officer to death at wedding
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to a dispute over parking a motorbike at a wedding, Hong and Mr. Loi got into an argument. Hong went into the kitchen to get a knife and stabbed Mr. Loi 4 times in a row.
On May 31, 2019, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province prosecuted the case, prosecuted the accused, and detained Nguyen Duc Hong (born in 1969, residing in Cat Van commune, Thanh Chuong district) for 4 months to investigate the crime of murder.

On the evening of May 25, 2019, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi (born in 1962, a police officer of Hamlet 8, Cat Van Commune, Thanh Chuong District) came to help with a wedding at the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh in the same hamlet.
Here, seeing Nguyen Duc Hong parking his motorbike, blocking traffic, Mr. Loi came out to remind him to park his motorbike, but Hong did not agree. The two sides got into an argument, but were stopped by the people so they dispersed.
At around 8pm that same day, Nguyen Duc Hong went into Mr. Thanh’s kitchen area, took a sharp knife and went to where Mr. Loi was standing on the street. Hong suddenly stabbed Mr. Loi 4 times in a row. Although he was taken to the hospital by the people, Mr. Loi died.

After committing the crime, Nguyen Duc Hong threw the knife away at the scene and fled to a mountainous area in Cat Van commune, Thanh Chuong district. At 6:00 a.m. on May 26, 2019, Nguyen Duc Hong surrendered to the Cat Van commune police station.
There is a cousin relationship between Nguyen Van Loi and Nguyen Duc Hong.
