Prosecuted former director of Can Tho Department of Health for violating bidding regulations
Director of Can Tho Department of Health Cao Minh Chu was prosecuted for investigation of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" under Article 222 of the Penal Code.

Of which, 6 defendants were temporarily detained, including: Bui Thi Le Phi, former Director of Can Tho Department of Health; Luong Tan Thanh, former employee of the Project Management Board of Can Tho Department of Health; Hoang Thi Thuy Nga, former Chairwoman of the Founding Council of New Success Journey Group (NSJ Group); Le Huy Binh, former Deputy General Director of New Success Journey Group LLC; Doan Thi No, former Head of Project Department, LTQ High-Tech LLC (formerly NSJ Company); Le Thanh Hung, former sales staff, NSJ Company LLC;
In addition, the authorities also banned 5 defendants from leaving their place of residence, including: Cao Minh Chu, former Director of Can Tho Department of Health; Ho Phuong Quynh, former employee of the Project Management Board of Can Tho Department of Health; Nguyen Duy Hung, former employee of BTC Value Valuation Joint Stock Company; Nguyen Quoc Viet, former appraiser, BTC Value Valuation Joint Stock Company and Ta Truong Xuan, former employee of Mediconsult Vietnam Medical Consulting Joint Venture Company Limited, all for the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 222 of the Penal Code 2015 (amended and supplemented in 2017).
After the Supreme People's Procuracy approved, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency implemented the above Decisions and Orders in accordance with the law.
