Prosecution and temporary detention of TikTok channel owner 'Hai Sen Family' for selling counterfeit goods
Ninh Binh Provincial Police investigated and clarified that from 2024 to present, Hai Be Company Limited has sold more than 800,000 products through social networking channels Tiktok shop, Facebook, Shopee "Gia Dinh Hai Sen", "Hai Sen", of which "Hai Be Delicious Syrup" alone sold over 100,000 product boxes.
On June 16, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that, implementing the peak month of strengthening the fight against counterfeit goods, Ninh Binh Provincial Police proactively applied professional measures, grasped the situation on cyberspace, and discovered that the Tiktok social network account "Gia Dinh Hai Sen" of Le Van Hai is a founding member of Hai Be Company Limited.
Le Van Hai regularly posts videos selling cosmetics and functional foods, including the health food "Hai Be Delicious Syrup" which has received many negative reviews from consumers about the product quality. It is known that Le Van Hai's TikTok channel "Gia Dinh Hai Sen" has 2.6 million followers and a Vlog on Facebook called "Hai Sen Vlog".
Conducting an inspection of Hai Be Company Limited, headquartered in Thanh Tay village, Van Phu commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh, with Tran Dai Phuc as Director, the police discovered and seized cosmetic and functional food products without full invoices and documents proving their origin.

The appraisal results for the quality indicators of "Hai Be Delicious Syrup" determined: The substances including Vitamin A, Calcium, Vitamin C (the main substances that create the product's effects) only reached less than 70% compared to the announcement, according to the provisions of Decree No. 98/2020 of the Government, the health protection food "Hai Be Delicious Syrup" is fake.
Up to now, the Investigation Police Agency of Ninh Binh Province has issued a Decision to prosecute the criminal case, a Decision to prosecute the accused Tran Dai Phuc, Director of Hai Be Company Limited, and Le Van Hai (capital contributor of Hai Be Company Limited) for the crime of "Trading in counterfeit food products" as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 193, Penal Code 2015.
At the same time, the residence and workplace of Tran Dai Phuc and Le Van Hai were searched and arrest warrants were issued for temporary detention. Currently, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Department is continuing to investigate the case according to regulations.
