Prosecuted for 'murder' of the subject who deliberately drove his car straight into the police
The traffic participant did not obey the order and drove straight into the traffic police officer on duty, causing him to suffer a 51% disability.
On May 19, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency (PC01), Ho Chi Minh City Police Department issued a decision to change the decision to prosecute the case and the decision to prosecute the accused Le Nhat Minh (22 years old, residing in District 12) from the crime of "Intentionally causing injury" to the crime of "Murder".
Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy has approved the above changes.

Previously, in early May 2021, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Tan District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and execute an order to temporarily detain Le Nhat Minh for the crime of "Resisting a person on official duty".
By mid-July 2021, Binh Tan District Police also decided to change the decision to prosecute the case, changing the decision to prosecute the accused Le Nhat Minh for the crime of "Intentionally causing injury".
When the case was transferred to PC01, this unit changed the charge against Minh to "Murder" as mentioned above.
Investigation results show that at 2:30 a.m. on April 25, 2021, Le Nhat Minh and 4 young men were driving 4 motorbikes on National Highway 1A, from Binh Tan district to An Suong intersection.
As they were going down the slope of Provincial Road 10 bridge, this group drove their vehicles in a row at high speed in the car lane.
At the same time, the working group of the Phu Lam Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police is implementing a plan to prevent gatherings for racing and prevent crimes. The working group has the participation and coordination of soldier Van Ba Hai (Battalion 2 - Mobile Police Regiment, Ho Chi Minh City Police).
When discovering Minh's group, Mr. Hai stepped into the car lane and signaled for the group to stop, but the group of "crazy drivers" did not comply and instead accelerated and fled at high speed.
While the other “speed demons” swerved to one side to pass Hai, Minh drove straight into the police officer, causing both Minh and Hai to fall onto the road. At this point, Minh stood up, left his motorbike behind, and ran away on foot.
Soldier Van Ba Hai was seriously injured and was taken to the emergency room by forces at the scene and local people.
After the incident, Binh Tan District Police intervened and arrested Minh the next day.
The results of the disability assessment showed that Mr. Hai suffered a disability of 51%.
The case was initially investigated by Binh Tan District Police, but was later transferred to PC01 as mentioned above.
The police investigation agency said that at that time, Minh was driving at high speed, which was a source of extreme danger, but did not obey the orders of the authorities and drove straight towards the police, causing Mr. Hai to be seriously injured. Minh himself was aware that his behavior was very dangerous, could have caused fatal consequences, but still intentionally did it.
And Minh's actions constituted the crime of "Murder".
