Criminal case initiated against a doctor who spread Covid-19
When examining, selling and injecting treatment drugs, doctor LHP did not screen or investigate the patient's epidemiological factors, allowing the epidemic to spread in Ngoc Chanh and Thanh Tung communes, Dam Doi district.
Regarding the case of spreading the epidemic in Ngoc Chanh commune and Thanh Tung commune, Dam Doi district, on August 24, the Investigation Police Agency, Dam Doi District Police, announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case "Lack of responsibility causes serious consequences"occurred on August 16 and 17 in Cai Ngay hamlet, Thanh Tung commune.
Through the investigation process, based on the documents and evidence collected in the file, after determining that there were signs of a crime, the Head of the Investigation Police Agency, Dam Doi District Police signed Decision No. 41/QD-CSDT to initiate criminal proceedings in the above criminal case.

Through initial investigation, on the afternoon of August 16 and the morning of August 17, LTĐ (11 years old, residing in Hiep Hoa Tay, Ngoc Chanh commune, Dam Doi district), showed signs of vomiting and was taken by his family to Dr. LHP's clinic in Cai Ngay hamlet, Thanh Tung commune.
Here, Dr. LHP directly examined, sold and injected medicine to treat the disease for child D. However, during this process, Dr. LHP did not examine, screen or investigate the patient's epidemiological factors to report to the authorities to take measures to check and prevent the spread of the disease.
Every day, Dr. LHP - Head of Thanh Tung Commune Health Station, Dam Doi District, examines and treats people at his home without a medical practice certificate.
During the implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control, Dr. LHP, as a member of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Thanh Tung Commune, did not fully perform his role and responsibilities, committed prohibited acts in the medical field regarding medical examination and treatment, did not screen and provide consultation, and did not fully implement the recommendations of the Ministry of Health on epidemiological factors related to LTĐ patients.
This led to the failure to promptly detect and prevent the disease, allowing the disease to spread in Ngoc Chanh and Thanh Tung communes, Dam Doi district.
Currently, this cluster of cases has 11 people positive for SARS-CoV-2.
The case of irresponsibility causing serious consequences related to the Head of Thanh Tung Commune Health Station is being further investigated and clarified by the police./.
