Prosecution of case related to 'internet gangster' Phu Le

Hanoi City Police have initiated a case of intentional injury that occurred in Dan Phuong district involving Le Van Phu (born in 1980), from Yen Bai, commonly known as Phu Le.

According to a private source, on the evening of August 9, the Investigation Police Agency, Hanoi City Police Department, has decided to prosecute the case and temporarily detain Le Van Phu and Hoang Van Thuy (born in 1995), residing in Ba Dinh District, to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury.

Le Van Phu was identified as the mastermind and leader in directing his juniors to assault the mother and aunt of Ms. Tran Thi D. (born in 1990), residing in Dan Phuong district.

The Criminal Police Department is also coordinating with the Criminal Police Department, Ministry of Public Security to verify and summon many of Le Van Phu's juniors to verify and clarify the case.

In addition to being investigated for intentionally causing injury, the Criminal Police Department also directed the Hanoi City Police to clarify the crime of disturbing public order against Le Van Phu and his wife, La Thuy Kieu (born in 1985, from Ha Nam).

Phu Le is known for his tattooed appearance and the gold eagle necklace he wears around his neck.

Phu Le often appears in self-produced and self-produced music videos about gangster life or short films with violent content and has many followers.
