After listening to local representatives discuss and contribute opinions on the conference's key contents, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam acknowledged the efforts of ministries, departments, sectors and localities in recent times in preventing drug crimes, ensuring food hygiene and safety as well as preventing the Covid-19 epidemic nationwide.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized that despite many achievements, the risks are still very high, so it is necessary to be more drastic in preventing and combating drug crimes at both the "supply and demand" and in drug rehabilitation work. For this work, not only the police force, health care, and labor sector but also the entire political system needs to participate, strongly promoting the key and core role and coordination between forces, sectors and localities. In addition, it is necessary to smoothly combine emulation movements, mass movements and propaganda work. Special attention should be paid to the prevention and control of Covid-19 in performing tasks.
Regarding food safety, the country has basically complied with international regulations. However, the Deputy Prime Minister also noted that localities, ministries and branches need to speed up the development and implementation of safety maps in agricultural production and pay attention to developing OCOP products. The mechanism of criticism and dialogue needs to be strengthened; the advertising of functional foods needs to be tightly managed. Food safety inspection during the traditional Tet holiday must be given special attention and increased efforts must be made.
Regarding the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized that the epidemic still has the risk of creating a new wave of infection that is 3-7 times faster than the old strain, so it is necessary to speed up the vaccination rate for people to minimize the risk of spreading and death. Forces must always be ready, not be subjective, not let hot spots break out and be overloaded in control and treatment. Ministries, branches, forces and localities need to strengthen coordination in performing tasks to ensure that people have a happy, healthy and safe Tet in the new situation.
