Nothing can shake the leadership role of the Party.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the 30th anniversary of the Party's founding, President Ho Chi Minh summarized: "Our Party is ethical and civilized."

From February 3 to 7, 1930, in Kowloon (Hong Kong, China), under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Ai Quoc, the conference merged three communist organizations in Vietnam, namely the Indochinese Communist Party, the Annam Communist Party, and the Indochinese Communist Federation, into a single party, the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Party fought for national independence and led the country through many hardships and challenges. It seized power, fought to maintain power, protected national independence, and carried out the cause of renovation along the socialist path that Uncle Ho and the Party had outlined in the "Brief Platform" and "Political Theses" in 1930.
Embryonic in the long night of slavery, the Party has matured through revolutionary struggle, worthy of being the only leading and ruling Party of the Vietnamese people. For the first time in the history of national construction, under the leadership of the Party, the people have the right to be masters of themselves and the country. The Party affirms that all activities of the Party are aimed at: "Realizing socialist democracy ensuring the rights of the people". The 13th National Congress of the Party determined: "Widely promoting socialist democracy, the right to be masters and the role of masters of the people, promoting the strength of great national unity, consolidating and enhancing people's trust, and strengthening social consensus" to successfully implement the goals set by the Congress.
Hostile arguments and tactics
Yet today, on some information channels or secretly, hostile forces still spread the rumor that "in Vietnam, there is a one-party regime, political monism, playing football and blowing the whistle at the same time, so there is no true democracy". Then they set the goal of implementing a multi-party regime, we cannot let the Communist Party of Vietnam be the only leader and ruler, destroying democracy!

This is not a new issue, but it is very big, it needs to be clarified, it needs to be proven both in theory and practice to bluntly refute that argument, we cannot let the plot of "peaceful evolution" gradually "transform" into a great disaster that we have seen through the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Eastern European socialist countries, disintegrating the socialist system, leading to heavy losses on the development path of human history.
The political system in which a single party is in power is the breeding ground for authoritarianism, arbitrariness, and lack of democracy, hindering the process of social development; they equate pluralism and multi-partyism with democracy and development... in order to publicize and legalize political organizations that oppose the Communist Party of Vietnam, and move towards eliminating the Party's role in leading the State and society, with the ultimate goal of eliminating the path to socialism in Vietnam.
This development is part of the sinister plot of hostile forces, including the complicity of opportunistic, politically degenerate, and disaffected elements who betray the ideals of national independence and socialism.
They traded the fate of the Fatherland for their personal interests and their “interest groups”. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the West declared “this is the fateful collapse of socialism”, while opportunists “following the fire and eating the leftovers” accounted for 75% of high-ranking officials, 57% of leaders of newly formed opposition parties. In 1991, among the tens of thousands of new millionaires in Moscow, the majority were former cadres and party members of the Communist Party and the Soviet Union… This is the “naked truth” exposing the plot and sabotage purpose of hostile forces under the banner of “democracy”, “freedom”, “pluralism, multi-party”; promoting “self-evolution”, “self-transformation” from within the Party.
The "filtering" of history

The obvious success of the Vietnamese revolution led by the Communist Party over the past 90 years is not the subjective will of any individual or political force, but the inevitable result of historical choice. Because history has "filtered" that no political force other than the Communist Party has enough capacity, intelligence, courage, morality, and prestige to lead the people to achieve the goal of national independence and build a strong country, where the people can have a life of true prosperity, freedom, and happiness.
Historical practice also proves that in Vietnam, the Communist Party has highly promoted socialist democracy, a democracy that brings and protects the highest rights and interests of the people, of the entire nation. During the period of the people's national democratic revolution, immediately after the August Revolution, the 1946 Constitution clearly stipulated: "All power in the country belongs to the entire Vietnamese people, regardless of race, gender, rich or poor, class, or religion". It was that democracy that mobilized the strength of the entire nation to unite to maintain independence and defeat the "two great empires" to bring the country forward on the path of socialism.
In carrying out the cause of innovation, right from the 6th Congress, the Party considered: "Collective mastery of socialism is the nature of socialist democracy" and determined the mechanism: "The Party leads, the people are the masters, the State manages" to manage the whole society. The Party Congresses supplemented and affirmed in the Platform for national construction in the transitional period to socialism (January 2011): "Continue to realize socialist democracy to ensure that all state power belongs to the people".
Promoting democracy with the strength of the whole society, Vietnam has made great strides in all fields to have the "foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it is today". Vietnam has diplomatic relations with 189/193 countries, all countries respect each other's political institutions. The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam was welcomed by the President of the United States and many countries with the solemn ceremony of the head of state, Vietnam was elected a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council with a near-absolute number of votes, proving that the world respects and supports the political institution led by only the Communist Party in Vietnam.
The key task of the Party is to constantly renew and rectify itself.
In the market economy, the major problem facing the Party is corruption, negativity, bureaucracy, degeneration, distance from the people... so the Party has set out the key task of constantly renewing and self-rectifying, attaching great importance to the fight against all kinds of opportunism, individualism, against negativity, corruption, degradation in political ideology and lifestyle ethics, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" in a part of cadres and Party members. It is known that in today's era, advantages, challenges and risks are intertwined, including the risk of focusing on distorting the leadership and ruling role of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
But the reality of the past 91 years has shown that no force can oppose it because the Party is recognized by the whole nation and honored by the People as "Our Party". The Party has the right guidelines, steadfast political will, leadership capacity, governing capacity and fighting strength, and the exemplary pioneering role of its cadres and Party members, and is recognized by the whole nation as "Our Party" for "a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization".
The Party mobilized the strength of the nation and the times, realizing the aspiration to bring the country to sustainable development, strength, and prosperity, step by step towards the goal of becoming a developed socialist country with high income, realizing President Ho Chi Minh's wish to "stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's powers".
