Not Mbappe, who is the highest paid player in La Liga?
Not Mbappe or Bellingham, the highest paid player in La Liga is Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona), with 31.6 million pounds/season.
According to The Sun, Mbappe will be the highest paid player at Real Madrid, but still far behind the salary of Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona) - who has been rumored to move to Manchester United in recent seasons. Accordingly, the Dutch midfielder receives a salary of 31.6 million pounds/season. Meanwhile, Frenkie de Jong's teammate at Barcelona, striker Lewandowski, has an income of 28.2 million pounds/season, ranking 2nd in the list of highest paid players in La Liga (Spanish National Football Championship).

The third highest paid player in La Liga is Mbappe (Real Madrid), who earns £26.3m per season. Although his salary is significantly lower than his PSG days, Mbappe will receive a €100m (£85.6m) signing-on fee from Real Madrid. In addition, the French star will retain 80% of the image rights in any commercial deals he signs after becoming a Real Madrid player, breaking the 50-50 split that the Spanish Royals apply to their players.
According to The Sun, Real Madrid's wage cap for the 2024-25 season is set at a maximum of €727m (£622.5m), meaning they could sign Mbappe without having to sell players. The news is even worse for Barcelona, whose wage cap is set at €204m, which would breach financial fair play rules. That's around €200m (£171m) more than Barcelona's current wage bill and would mean they would have to sell players this summer to fund new signings.
The list of La Liga's highest-paid players includes Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who is in fifth place with a salary of £17.5m a season. Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois, who missed most of last season through injury, earns £12.2m a season from Real Madrid.
