Not pho or banh mi, this is the Vietnamese delicacy present at the British Royal event in Ho Chi Minh City

In the luxurious space of the event welcoming the British Royal Navy ship in Ho Chi Minh City, many international guests expressed their impression and excitement when experiencing for the first time ice cream, yogurt or cool kombucha tea from Vinamilk.

Arriving at Nha Rong Port (Ho Chi Minh City) on the morning of September 22, 2025, the multi-mission frigate HMS Richmond of the Royal Navy began a friendly visit to Ho Chi Minh City. The visit took place on the occasion of the UK and Vietnam celebrating 15 years of establishing a Strategic Partnership, emphasizing diplomatic commitments and strengthening security and defense cooperation.

On this occasion, the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City organized the UK - Vietnam Summer Festival 2025 to welcome the HMS Richmond and celebrate the 15th anniversary of the UK - Vietnam Strategic Partnership. The program was attended by representatives of embassies, consulates in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and heads of British businesses in Vietnam.

Besides cultural exchange activities and art performances, a special detail surprised many international guests: Vinamilk products - the leading milk brand in Vietnam - were served as unique Vietnamese cuisine at the event.

Lt Oliver Thomas – crew member of HMS Richmond (left) – has a special fondness for Vinamilk Green Farm yogurt drink. “The yogurt is delicious, fresh and smooth.” Vinamilk representative said that this is the first and only product line in Vietnam incubated with 6 strains of live yeast and European probiotics.
