"We have ordered a number of Russian aircraft. I cannot say how many because it is a state secret. But the delivery of the vehicles will take time," senior officer Sengpatyan told media.

Laos has previously received four Yak-130 combat training aircraft. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the delivery of the products is part of the contract signed in 2017. The total number of aircraft in the first batch received by Vientiane is four Yak-130 aircraft.

Yak-130 aircraft participated in training and combat during the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic's armed forces. T-72 tanks and BRDM-2M armored vehicles recently received by Laos also participated in the event.
