Kia Optima 2019 wagon with upgraded technology
The 2019 Kia Optima in the European market has been upgraded by the Korean automaker for the wagon version with an expanded luggage compartment and more advanced technology.

The 2019 Kia Optima in the European market has two options: a 4-door sedan and a 5-door wagon. This model was upgraded by the Korean car company after 2 years of entering the European market, where Wagon models are very popular.
The 2019 Optima sold in Europe has a sportier grille design than the vertical bars of its Korean sibling, the K5, although it still has a luxurious look thanks to the chrome trim. In addition to this small difference, this model also has new front and rear bumpers with a more aggressive design. The headlights, fog lights and taillights of the car also have slight changes. Kia also did not forget to add new alloy wheel design options to the Optima, along with the red color "Runaway Red".

Inside, Kia has only made slight changes to the steering wheel and the chrome trim. The drive mode switch now has a changeable backlight. In terms of safety equipment, Kia has added a driver inattention warning system to the Optima.
The 2019 Kia Optima has ditched the 1.7-liter CRDi diesel engine and replaced it with a completely new 1.6-liter unit. In addition, customers can also choose a 1.6-liter gasoline engine producing 177 horsepower, combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This version will sit between the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter gasoline engine and the high-performance GT version with 242 horsepower.

After being introduced at the Geneva Motor Show next April, the Kia Optima 2019 will officially go on sale in the European market in the third quarter of this year.
