The Korean car company introduced the new generation of Rio with significant upgrades in both interior and exterior design and size.

Kia has released images and some details about its new-generation Rio compact car ahead of its debut at the Paris Auto Show in late September.

The Korean car has more space than the previous generation thanks to an increase in size of 15 mm in length, 5 mm in width, 10 mm in wheelbase to 2,580 mm but a decrease of 5 mm in height. This change also helps the exterior look more stable.

The design of the fourth generation Kia Rio is the result of the joint work of the company's design centers in Korea, the US and Germany. The car possesses the latest and most distinctive design language with a tiger nose grille, refined lamps, a longer, thinner hood, and a more upright C-pillar. The distance from the front axle to the front bumper is longer while the distance from the rear axle to the rear bumper is shorter.

The interior is more modern with compact functional details. The space feels spacious thanks to the straight lines across the dashboard. The car has a new infotainment system, a high-resolution touch screen and a floating HMI interactive interface, allowing to reduce the number of hard buttons on the center console. Depending on the version, the car cabin uses fabric, leather or even bright metal.

More details on safety, connectivity and engine technology will be available at the upcoming Paris Auto Show.

Kia Rio is a small B-class car that the Korean car company has developed since 2000. The life cycle of Rio is quite short when each car only needs 5 years to move to a new generation. The 4th generation started with the 2017 version. In Vietnam, Rio has 3 versions in sedan and hatchback form with prices ranging from 502-615 million.
