Earning 6,000 USD per show, Phuong My Chi moved to the US to settle down?
The singer of "My hometown in flood season" spoke up about the information about immigrating to the US.
In early 2020, Phuong My Chi confirmed that she had left her adoptive father's company after 6 years of working together. "Sister Bay" released a music product with her own production team. Regarding the reason for going solo, Phuong My Chi said that she wanted to change herself, wanted to break out, wanted to be a little more wild. "Everyone will see a completely different Phuong My Chi in terms of personality and musical style," she said.
Regarding the rumors of conflict with Quang Le's adoptive father, Phuong My Chi denied. She affirmed: "Quang Le and I are still normal father and son, the relationship is still good and there is no conflict or rift. I hope everyone does not say that I am ungrateful, it is unfair to me. I feel that 6 years in a company is long enough for me to be independent, to walk on my own two feet, to see how far and how far I can go."

After working independently, recently, there has been a lot of information circulating that Phuong My Chi is about to settle down in the US to make it easier for her to sing and serve overseas Vietnamese. Previously, Quang Le revealed that his adopted daughter Phuong My Chi's salary was twice as high as his. Specifically, in a show in the US, she received a salary of 6,000 USD, quite high compared to many famous artists. Even on par with many A-list stars in showbiz.
Regarding this, Quang Le explained: "Phuong My Chi only performs in the US twice a year, so a high salary is normal. As for me, I have always performed in the US, appearing quite regularly, so my salary is usually only around 3,500 to 4,000 USD". Therefore, the information that "Sister Bay" is about to settle in the US makes many fans believe that it is completely reasonable. Many viewers expressed regret if this is true.

Phuong My Chi has a "huge" salary when singing in the US. |
In the face of many rumors, Phuong My Chi spoke up to clarify the truth. She humorously said: "I just heard this." The singer affirmed: "If I go to America to perform, I would love it. But if I go there to live, I'm not used to it."
“I don’t like American food. I only like Vietnamese food. My mother and I lost weight after only one week of singing. We couldn’t eat or sleep well because the environment was very different. Most of my audience is in Vietnam, so I think there’s no better place to work than my homeland,” Phuong My Chi said frankly.
Up to now, Phuong My Chi said she has toured in more than 10 countries around the world. Each trip has left the singer born in 2003 with many beautiful memories and interesting experiences. “I really like performing abroad because the photos are very beautiful. The stages abroad are quite large, with audiences of thousands of people. I sell CDs quite well, while in Vietnam people mainly watch YouTube. The feeling of standing on a big stage and being cheered by the audience is very happy. When I encounter difficulties, I often remember that happiness so that I can continue to strive without thinking of giving up or stopping,” she confided.

Before becoming famous, Phuong My Chi lived with her family of 14 people in a private house of about 20 square meters.2, in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. Because her house is too small, Phuong My Chi does not have a study corner, so she has to use the tables and chairs in the house as a place to write.
After a period of saving money from singing, Phuong My Chi renovated her house to make her family more prosperous. According to her family, the house was painted and new furniture was purchased.
In a conversation with us, Phuong My Chi admitted: "Up to now, I rarely use money or keep it with me, because my mother goes with me wherever I go. If I want to buy something, I just ask my mother and it's done. I find this more comfortable than keeping money with me and thinking about it. For me, the salary of 6,000 USD/show this time is the same. I see that people are surprised by that number so it must be big."
