Initially, in the report, Mr. Hue admitted to taking some duck eggs home to eat and giving them to an employee of the agency.
Cho Gao District People's Committee confirmed that Mr. Hue had committed a violation in taking duck eggs at the Exhibition Fair. Since then, Cho Gao District People's Committee has directed a serious review of this man and reported the incident to Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, as VietNamNet reported, at the Dinh Dau Spring Fair of Cho Gao district in 2017, a booth lost a large green-skinned grapefruit.
Fair security discovered that Mr. Hue, a member of the District Party Committee and also a member of the Spring Festival Organizing Committee, had sneaked in early in the morning and taken 16/30 "giant" duck eggs on display at the Trung Hoa commune booth and put them in the trunk of his motorbike.
When the security guard shouted, Mr. Hue got in his car and drove home. The fair organizers reported to the district People's Committee leaders.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Hue explained: "That day was Tet, I was on duty at the fair and saw big and delicious duck eggs so I picked up a few."
