Checking preparations to welcome new soldiers at Military Region 4
(Baonghean.vn) - On February 13 and 14, a working delegation of the General Department of Logistics led by Major General Nguyen Xuan Hai - Director of the Quartermaster Department inspected logistics preparations for training missions, combat readiness, and the task of receiving new soldiers at Military Region 4.
Receiving and working with the delegation were Major General Nguyen Doan Anh - Commander of the Military Region; Major General Nguyen Si Hoi - Deputy Commander of the Military Region, Head of the Military Region Logistics Department and Colonel Tran Van Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command.
During their time working in Military Region 4, the delegation from the General Department of Logistics inspected all aspects of logistics work at Regiment 3, Division 324 and Regiment 764, Nghe An Provincial Military Command and a number of other agencies and units under the Logistics Department of Military Region 4.
Implementing the direction of the General Department of Logistics, since the beginning of 2019, Military Region 4 has directed its affiliated agencies and units to proactively promote production activities, prepare sources of green vegetables, meat, fish, etc. for use by soldiers in general and new soldiers in particular.

Direct agencies and units to focus on performing health check-ups for new soldiers after enlistment. In 2019, in addition to chest X-rays, some new contents such as blood type tests, electrocardiograms, and general abdominal ultrasounds will be performed for 100% of new soldiers. Ensure barracks hygiene, electricity and water to prepare for receiving and training new soldiers.

Concluding the inspection, Major General Nguyen Xuan Hai, on behalf of the working delegation, assessed: The agencies and units of the Military Region have actively and comprehensively prepared barracks, medical staff, military uniforms, food, motorbikes, transportation, etc. to prepare all aspects for the training and combat readiness tasks in 2019 in general and the task of welcoming new soldiers to the army in 2019 in particular. At the same time, the delegation pointed out a number of key tasks as well as a number of limitations and shortcomings.
