(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 19th, Comrade Kha Van Tam - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Comrade Le Van Giap - Chairman of the People's Committee of Que Phong district, along with a delegation, inspected, directed, and encouraged the forces and local people to build a new house for Ms. Loc Thi Tuong (Chau Thon commune), who was affected by a tornado.

Previously, the tornado accompanied by hail on February 22nd caused significant damage to the people of Chau Thon commune. 167 households in the commune had their roofs blown off, and notably, 3 households had their houses completely destroyed. Ms. Loc Thi Tuong, residing in Ban Mo village, is in particularly difficult circumstances; she is an elderly woman living alone with no one to rely on. The tornado caused a wall to collapse, trapping her and leaving her completely paralyzed and unable to walk. In response to this situation, the leaders of Que Phong district promptly visited and offered support to Ms. Loc Thi Tuong's family. They also directed the Party Committee and the government of Chau Thon commune to mobilize police and militia forces, in coordination with local organizations and the people of Ban Mo village, to contribute labor to rebuild a new house for Ms. Tuong.

The house, once completed, is estimated to cost approximately 30 million VND, of which 12,000,000 VND was donated by Nghe Tinh Construction Investment Joint Stock Company. This was done in coordination with the district and commune authorities to help overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize the lives and livelihoods of Ms. Tuong in particular and the people of Chau Thon commune in general.
