Checking the work of clearing traffic corridor violations in Ky Son
(Baonghean.vn) - Interdisciplinary Team No. 2 of Nghe An province has inspected the current status of violation clearance and prevention of re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors in Ky Son area.
On January 29, the interdisciplinary delegation No. 2 including: Provincial Traffic Safety Committee; Inspectorate of the Department of Transport; Department of Construction; Provincial Police; Road Management Department 2 and the Office of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee inspected the status of the work of clearing violations and preventing re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2018 in Ky Son area.

Through the process of checking the current status, the working group pointed out a number of shortcomings affecting traffic safety such as:
Some shops and businesses still let their goods occupy the entire sidewalk, forcing customers' motorbikes to stop and park on the road; on some curved roads, people gather construction materials on the road without placing warning signs; illegal advertising signs encroach on the road and sidewalk, obstructing traffic; some construction vehicles in the area are overloaded and not covered with tarpaulins, causing materials to fall onto the road, causing insecurity and environmental pollution...

Based on the inspection results and actual records, the interdisciplinary team worked with the People's Committee of Ky Son district, along with the leaders of the town and communes in the area.Request relevant agencies to overcome the above mentioned shortcomings to ensure traffic safety, especially during the upcoming traditional New Year.
In addition, it is necessary to clearly state the specific responsibilities of each individual and collective involved in the work of clearing traffic safety corridors. At the same time, it is required that traffic management units strengthen close coordination with local authorities, clearly understand violations, and advise local authorities on cases within the traffic corridor boundaries to notify each household and competent authorities.
Previously, on January 9, Ky Son district mobilized 1 excavator, 1 truck, 2 traffic police cars and dozens of officers and employees to clear the road and sidewalk traffic corridor.
As a result, 17 administrative penalty records were drawn up; 9 billboards were confiscated; 9.6m of road were dismantled.2 canopy, 7 steps and 35m3construction materials; 85 households signed a commitment not to violate traffic safety corridors.
