Inspection of administrative management work regarding social order and security in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 31st, a delegation from the Ministry of Public Security, led by Lieutenant General To Thuong, Director General of General Department VII, inspected the administrative management work on social order in the first six months of 2014 at the Nghe An Provincial Police Department. Receiving and working with the delegation were Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau – Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, along with leaders of relevant professional units.

In the first six months of 2014, the Nghe An Provincial Police implemented many comprehensive and effective measures in administrative management of social order and security, serving well the work of the administrative management force in social order and security, especially in detecting, arresting, and handling crimes and violations of the law; effectively carrying out inspection and control campaigns, handling violations of traffic safety; strengthening the management and recovery of weapons, explosives, and support tools; inspecting and handling conditional business sectors related to security, order, and fire prevention... contributing to reducing traffic accidents in all three criteria, preventing major fires and explosions, achieving high administrative penalties in the field of social order and security, mobilizing the people to recover a large quantity of weapons, explosives, and support tools, contributing to limiting the causes and conditions that criminals exploit for their activities, and improving the quality and effectiveness of the work of the local police and commune-level police in charge of security and order. Proactively applying effective operational measures to combat various types of crime on transportation routes has significantly contributed to ensuring security and order in the province.

During the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and highlighting several shortcomings that need to be addressed in the future, such as the complex traffic safety situation, the continued high number of violations of road traffic safety laws, the sometimes low sense of responsibility of some sectors and organizations in coordinating efforts to ensure traffic safety, and the significant potential for crime and social vices to exploit this area for their activities.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General To Thuong acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Administrative Police force of Nghe An Provincial Police. He also directed several areas to focus on in the coming period: The Traffic Police force needs to coordinate better with other departments in ensuring traffic safety and order, especially in inspecting and handling violations related to oversized and overloaded vehicles; building and perfecting the legal system for administrative management; disseminating the legal system to all citizens; and reforming administrative procedures to serve the legitimate aspirations and demands of the people. The delegation will compile the recommendations and proposals from the Nghe An Provincial Police and report them to the Ministry of Public Security for consideration and action.
