Checking businesses with outstanding social insurance debts.
(Baonghean) - This morning, November 17th, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Social Insurance agency held a conference to evaluate the implementation of social insurance policies in the province during the first 10 months of the year.
In fulfilling its political nhiệm vụ, in the first 10 months of this year, the Social Insurance Agency of Nghe An province collected over 1,633 billion VND in social insurance, health insurance, and voluntary insurance, reaching 89% of the assigned target. Of this amount, the business sector contributed over 414 billion VND, reaching 83%, with businesses under the Party Committee of the business sector contributing over 82 billion VND, reaching 66% of the target.
However, the amount of overdue and outstanding social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance contributions from businesses and enterprises in the next 10 months totaled 97.5 billion VND, with nearly 54% of that amount being social insurance debt and over 43% health insurance debt. Enterprises under the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc account for nearly 2.4% of the total participating social insurance units, but their debt of 23 billion VND represents nearly 24% of the total social insurance debt. Notably, some central enterprises have even higher debts. This issue requires coordination among three agencies: the Labor Federation, the Party Committee of the Enterprise Bloc, and the Provincial Social Insurance Agency. Besides focusing on public awareness campaigns, the three agencies need to promptly establish an inter-agency inspection team to examine 20 enterprises with outstanding social insurance contributions ranging from less than 6 months to over 12 months. The inspection aims to ensure the effective implementation of the Social Insurance Law, the correct and complete collection of outstanding social insurance debts, and the protection of workers' rights and benefits.
