Strengthening the personnel of the National Traffic Safety Committee
Major General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, was decided by the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister to concurrently hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee, replacing Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh has also just made a decision to replace Lieutenant General Nguyen Song Phi with Lieutenant General Khuat Viet Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans Association and member of the National Traffic Safety Committee.
The National Traffic Safety Committee is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh.
National Traffic Safety Committeeis an inter-sectoral coordination organization, whose function is to assist the Prime Minister in directing ministries, branches and localities to implement national strategies and projects on ensuring traffic order and safety and deploy inter-sectoral solutions to ensure traffic order and safety nationwide.
The National Traffic Safety Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Prime Minister plans to organize the implementation of national strategies, projects, and inter-sectoral coordination solutions on ensuring traffic order and safety to promote efficiency and synchronization in ensuring traffic order and safety.
