9X beauty receives tragic ending because she believes in the promise of 40 million VND
Believing she would receive 40 million VND for helping receive a parcel, the 9X beauty rushed into her death, only to regret it too late.
On August 20, the High People's Court in Hanoi brought defendants Bo Thi Kim Thoa (born 1990) and Vu Ngoc Hoang (born 1993, both from Hung Yen) to the appeal trial for the crime of illegally transporting drugs.
Having a pretty face and having gone through an unhappy marriage, Thoa made friends with social objects, including Duong Huu Tung and Vu Ngoc Hoang, only to receive a bitter ending.

Tung hired Thoa to help him receive a package from abroad to send to Vietnam for a handsome salary. Knowing that the package contained synthetic drugs, Tung's promise to receive 40 million VND blinded the beauty.
On the morning of March 22, 2017, Thoa was given 10 million VND by a strange young man. Immediately after that, she received a call from abroad informing her to prepare to go to a post office in Cau Giay, Hanoi to sign for the package. At the same time, Vu Ngoc Hoang was also instructed by Tung to coordinate with Thoa to receive the drugs.
The next afternoon, Thoa and Hoang drove to a post office in Cau Giay district to receive the package as instructed by Tung from Hong Kong. Upon arrival, Hoang went to the post office to investigate first. When he found nothing unusual, Hoang called Thoa to come in and receive the package.
However, when Thoa brought the package containing drugs to Hoang, the police force suddenly appeared and arrested her, confiscating more than 7,405 grams of drugs. That day, taking advantage of the loopholes of the authorities in the process of carrying out the necessary procedures, Thoa quickly escaped.
The ending was tragic
Taking a taxi back to Hung Yen, Thoa borrowed the driver's phone to call her mother-in-law and ex-husband for help. She made up an excuse that she was hiding from debt because she lost money gambling. Thinking it was true, Thoa's ex-husband quickly drove his car to the meeting place to pick her up.
Meeting her ex-husband, Thoa begged him to help her find a hiding place. Her ex-husband took her to a relative's house in Hai Phong to seek refuge. Thoa wandered around many places to avoid being discovered.
On April 7, 2017, while planning his next escape location, Thoa was arrested by the police.
Bringing Thoa and Hoang to trial, the Hanoi People's Court sentenced both defendants to death. After the first instance verdict, both Hoang and Thoa appealed for a reduction in their sentences.
At the appeal hearing on August 20, defendant Hoang showed remorse. He presented evidence proving that he had saved a drowning child in 2013. However, the appellate court held that because the amount of drugs Hoang transported was too large, they upheld the death sentence for the defendant.
Regarding the new details presented by Hoang at the trial, the appellate panel noted that the defendant had the opportunity to petition the President for clemency.
As for the defendant Thoa, in court she could not provide any new details to request a reduction in her sentence, so she voluntarily withdrew her appeal. The appellate court suspended the appeal trial for this defendant.
