According to KCNA, in the telegram, leader Kim Jong-un sent sincere congratulations to the Russian people on prosperity and success in building a strong country that dares to face all challenges, under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin.
Mr. Kim Jong-un emphasized the long history of Russia-DPRK relations, and expressed confidence that the diplomatic and strategic relations between the two countries will be further consolidated and strengthened, long-term and sustainable, in accordance with the interests of both sides.
The North Korean leader wished the Russian President success in building a strong Russia, ensuring Russia's security and interests for the happiness and prosperity of the Russian people.
Today (June 12), Russia Day is celebrated across the country with a variety of festivities. 28 years ago, on this day, Russia adopted a declaration of national sovereignty.
Russia Day has begun in the city of Vladivostok, one of the first places in the federation to celebrate June 12.
