Kim Lien needs to increase revenue and complete the criteria for a model new rural area.

(Baonghean.vn) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong requested the leaders of Nam Dan district to direct the commune to conduct auctions of land use rights to increase revenue, have sources to pay debts and build infrastructure, striving to reach the model new rural area goal in 2019.

This is the information stated at the working session of the provincial delegation at the People's Committee of Kim Lien commune on the situation of building a model new rural commune.

Kim Lien commune has reached the new rural area (NTM) goal in 2014, however, the achieved criteria are not commensurate with its potential, political position as well as the requirements of leaders at all levels and the wishes of compatriots and comrades nationwide. In addition, the debt for basic construction investment is currently over 16 billion VND.

Over the past 2 years, implementing the project to build Kim Lien into a model new rural commune, the whole commune has built new and upgraded many important works. Up to now, the commune has achieved 14 criteria according to the temporary regulations of the province's new rural criteria for the period 2015-2020 and is striving to achieve the remaining 5 criteria.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong requested the leaders of Nam Dan district to direct the commune to conduct auctions of land use rights to increase revenue, have sources to pay debts and build infrastructure, striving to reach the model new rural area goal in 2019.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Que affirmed that he would continue to pay more attention to Kim Lien commune to develop commensurate with its political and social importance. Mr. Que also said that the Kim Lien relic site - recognized by the Government as a special national relic - is now covered with free wifi, serving tourists.

In the working program, in the morning of the same day, the delegation visited and surveyed the planned location for the high-tech vegetable production area invested by the Vietnam Union of Safe Agricultural Products Consumption Cooperatives in Nam Tan and Nam Loc communes; the planned location for the Center for introducing, promoting and distributing safe agricultural products, first of all of Nam Dan and Nghe An, then of other localities across the country in Mau 6 hamlet, Kim Lien commune.

The delegation also inspected the progress of the Ho Chi Minh President's Ancestral Temple in Hong Son 1 hamlet, Kim Lien commune; the flood prevention road under construction in the 5 South region; the area planned to build a bypass road to Nam Dan town, the land planned for Cau Don industrial cluster, the land planned to build a commercial center invested by Vingroup, etc.
