Horrific discovery of newborn baby's body in toilet
Smelling a foul odor coming from the room, the landlord opened the door to check and was shocked to discover a dead newborn baby with its umbilical cord still attached lying in the toilet.
On the morning of October 9, information from the People's Committee of Bac Ly Ward, Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh) said that the owner of a rented house located in Sub-area 2, Bac Ly Ward had just discovered the body of a newborn baby in the toilet of the rented room.
Accordingly, at around 4:00 p.m. on October 8, many students renting rooms at Ms. Nguyen TC's boarding house in Bac Ly ward smelled a foul odor coming from the first room of the boarding house. Thinking that there was a dead animal inside, the students informed Ms. C. to open the door to check and clean.

However, when Ms. C. and many others opened the door, they were shocked to discover inside the toilet of this rented room was a newborn baby with an intact umbilical cord (about 5-6 days old) who had died many days before.
After receiving information about the incident, Bac Ly Ward Police coordinated with relevant agencies to go to the scene to record the situation and investigate the cause.
It is known that the rented room where the newborn’s body was found is currently unoccupied. About 2 months ago, a woman rented a room here, but she moved out more than a week ago.
Currently, the police force has also handed over the body of the newborn baby boy to the local authorities for burial.
