Amazing robot bees that can pollinate flowers
Recently, a young scientist has created a robot bee with outstanding features, which can skillfully imitate the pollination process of real bees for plants. Specifically, this robot bee has the ability to collect pollen and spread it to other areas.

The robot bee that pollinates flowers is called "Plan Bee", and is the brainchild of an industrial design student at Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia, USA. The idea for a robot bee came after Anna learned about statistics that showed that the number of bee species was decreasing dramatically.

Wanting to raise awareness of the importance of insects in our food system, Anna conceived the idea of designing a robot that would function as a pollinator, just in case bee numbers continued to decline unchecked.
To create this robot, student Anna created about 50 different design models, finally Anna chose the design that had the most un-bee-like shape. According to the explanation, she wanted to design a robot that could perform the pollination function like a bee, not a bee-shaped robot. "When you turn the robot upside down, you will see the shape of a flower, this is my way to honor the role of flowers in the pollination process," Anna Haldewang shared.

By design, the Plan Bee robot bee is made up of a foam core, a plastic body, and two propellers. In addition, there are 6 wings underneath, all with small holes that allow the robot to collect pollen while flying.
