Timely rescue of 4 Nghe An fishermen in a sinking ship incident
(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities in Dien Chau district have made efforts to rescue four crew members who were in an accident at sea. The fishing boat was severely damaged offshore and sank completely.
Information from the authorities of Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district said that a fishing boat had just sunk at sea.
Specifically, on the morning of March 18, Dien Bich commune received news that a fishing boat with license plate NA - 90582 - TS, capacity 260CV owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh (residing in Dien Bich commune) had an accident while exploiting offshore aquatic products.

After receiving the news, Dien Bich commune reported the incident to the leaders of Dien Chau District People's Committee, the district's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Lach Van Control Station and Dien Thanh Border Guard Station to coordinate rescue efforts.
By noon on March 18, the rescue team of fishing boats belonging to the fishing team (fishery union) of the commune and the Dien Thanh Border Guard had rescued and brought the members of the fishing boat in distress to shore safely. In particular, the rescue team quickly provided first aid to the boat owner Nguyen Van Dinh, who had a broken arm, and promptly took him to the emergency room.
The fishing boat was in trouble far offshore and the wind was strong so it could not be saved and sank.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lien - Vice Chairman of Dien Bich Commune People's Committee said: Currently, the health of the 4 crew members on board is stable. However, this fishing boat has been completely damaged, the value of the boat when it was newly built was about 1 billion VND. This is a huge loss for fishermen in the area. In the immediate future, the local government has visited and encouraged the families, then will call for a plan to support the fishermen to soon stabilize their lives.
