Kookmin Ilbo: "The only thing Coach Park lacks is a championship"
After the Vietnamese team won a ticket to the semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2018, a series of Korean newspapers reported on the achievements of coach Park Hang-seo and expected the red-and-yellow-star team to be crowned Southeast Asian champions for the second time in history.

Kookmin Ilbo shared: "Mr. Park has 4 more matches to step up to the highest podium of the tournament. The AFF Cup is so popular that it is nicknamed 'The World Cup of Southeast Asia', as famous as the World Cup.
Vietnam defeated Cambodia 3-0 in the final match of the group stage in Hanoi. Coach Park's team topped the group, but what is even more proud is their solid defense, having not conceded a single goal while scoring 8 goals. They are the only team to keep a clean sheet among the 10 participating national teams.
However, the only thing that Mr. Park is missing is a championship trophy. The 59-year-old strategist has never won a final match. He and his Vietnamese students also had to accept defeat in the title-deciding matches in the past two tournaments"./.
