Ky Han: 'I don't care about Mac Hong Quan's flirtatious past'

The female model believes in the handsome player because of his sincerity and seriousness in their current love.

- You and football player Mac Hong Quan attracted attention when you made your relationship public. How do you feel about dating someone who is known to be a playboy?

- Before I met Mr. Quan, I also had a bad feeling about him because of his love scandals. But in the process of getting to know him, dating him and falling in love, I found him not as "scary" as people said. In fact, he was a bit naive and childish when it came to love.

I think when you love someone, you should trust your intuition and look at how they treat you, not let outside influences influence you.At first, my parents also opposed me loving Quan because they were afraid that their daughter would suffer. I had to find a convincing argument, and even gave my parents the phone to talk to him so they could really feel secure. Now, I am very happy that both families support our love story.

- What did your lover explain to you about his past?

- He told some stories that people misunderstood. He only said it once because he didn't like to talk about the past too much. I'm a "man" and don't care about my lover's past. I think that when you love someone, you live your life to the fullest in the present, being together is a good day. We care for each other, take care of each other and share joys and sorrows every day. There are too many things to worry about in life, if you love someone, you should be happy. If you feel like you can't be together anymore, then you should break up.

At first, I didn’t want to make our relationship public because I knew many people thought we relied on each other for PR. But after a while of dating, our friends, fans, and the media found out.We got together when we were both single and didn’t bother anyone, so we went public. But every time we shared pictures of each other, we received comments like: “Let’s see how long the happiness lasts.” I was very sad about that.

- How do you react if there are many girls surrounding your boyfriend?

- I have an open mind when it comes to love, but that doesn't mean I advocate a loose lifestyle. If I find out that Quan is promiscuous, I will break up with him immediately. People who don't know how to appreciate what they have are not worth keeping. I myself have many people pursuing me, so Quan will know what to do, I don't need to remind him.

I still trust Mac Hong Quan. I don't know who he loves, but when he loves me, he is very obedient and serious. He is playing in Quang Ninh, he has to practice with the team for a whole week before leaving camp once. Whenever he has free time, he calls me on FaceTime. We meet a few times a month, depending on who is free, they will fly in or out to visit the other. Quan's time is very limited, so whenever we are together, we try to make the most of it. That's why we never argue because of each other's unwanted scandals.

- What do you two plan for the future?

- I haven't thought about it yet. I think I'm too young to think about getting married at this time. I see many young people who have not been in love for long but are trying to tie each other down with a wedding because they're afraid it will get boring after a while. I think that love that has freedom and space for both is the most beautiful love. Before I turn 26, I will only love.

- Recently, your face has been said to be quite "deformed" due to cosmetic surgery. How did your lover react?

- The people I love are all progressive and open-minded. If I decide something, they will respect it because they know it's best for me. No matter what, having a beautiful girlfriend - even if she has undergone plastic surgery - is still something to be proud of, to take out and show off to friends.

I admit I haveI fixed my nose and redid my teeth to be more confident. Before, I rarely showed off because I was so ugly, even when I looked in the mirror I felt bored with myself. My face was deformed and swollen because I was allergic to the medicine. Now I am completely satisfied with my face after the surgery. The cost for two dental procedures was nearly 200 million, and my nose job was covered because I was the representative face of a Korean beauty salon.I earned all the money and advertising contracts by myself, without asking anyone for a penny.I don't care about what people say, because people don't give me money to go to beauty salons.

- Where does your income come from when you don't perform much?

- I don't do catwalk shows because the pay is too low. But I do work as an advertising model and attend events. I don't have a rich man behind me like many rumors say. I'm financially independent when it comes to my boyfriend, so I'm very confident when expressing my opinions to him. If he gives me a gift, I accept it. Every girl likes to be cared for by her lover through actions.

In the past six months, I have been acting in films. The salary is not much but it brings me a stable income. I hope to stick with this profession for a long time because I see that I have the ability. Currently, I have three films released to the audience, including two movies: Thanh Khoi, Diep Vu Chan Dai and the TV series Nhung Den Can Trong Dem. The reactions of the directors and the audience make me more confident in pursuing this path.

- The two movies you participated in were not highly rated when they were released. What do you think?

- During the working process, I found the crew professional, enthusiastic and had nothing to complain about. Perhaps because the film did not suit the audience's taste, it was not supported much. However, as a "newbie", I think every opportunity is valuable, there is no reason to refuse.

Participating in a film gives me the opportunity to rub shoulders and learn more about acting experience. In particular, I am no longer afraid of roles that require the character's inner feelings because I have been trained from the film Candles in the Night. I had to cry almost every day on set so now I can get into character easily.
