Signing of a cooperation agreement between the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Nghe An Irrigation Association.

(Baonghean.vn) - To strengthen coordination and promote the role of the Nghe An Irrigation Association in the development of irrigation in particular and the agriculture and rural development sector in general, on the afternoon of July 11th, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Nghe An Irrigation Association held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between the two sides. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ho Ngoc Sy - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Tran Huu Luc - Chairman of the Nghe An Irrigation Association, and representatives from relevant departments.

According to the agreement, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will facilitate and invite the Nghe An Irrigation Association to contribute ideas to the development of the sector, such as building strategies, plans, and policies for irrigation development; related scientific, technological, and technical issues; participating in consulting and providing feedback in the areas of disaster prevention and mitigation planning, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and basic irrigation construction planning and investment projects; participating in or leading scientific research projects and technology transfer; participating in the review of disaster prevention and control plans, and handling incidents at irrigation works, etc.

Both sides agreed that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for directing its affiliated agencies and units, as well as the entire sector, to closely coordinate with the Association, specifying the content of the coordination needed to be included in the annual plan and implemented. The Nghe An Irrigation Association needs to proactively coordinate and propose specific collaborative activities for implementation. Annually, the two units will hold a review conference to evaluate the results of the year's coordination and agree on the content of the coordination for the following year.
