Disciplinary warning issued to the Rector of the National Economics University.
Due to violations of several legal regulations in school management regarding personnel organization, finance, training, and basic construction, Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Rector of the National Economics University, has been disciplined with a warning.

On the afternoon of April 4th, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a disciplinary decision in the form of a written reprimand against Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Rector of the National Economics University.
The Ministry of Education and Training's inspection concluded that Mr. Nguyen Van Nam's violations included issuing several school management documents that did not comply with legal regulations, converting the Banking and Finance Faculty into the Banking and Finance Institute without discussing and consulting with the institution; and separating the Monetary Finance subject without consulting the Faculty Dean and the Scientific Council.
In addition, he also appointed 49 local officials without conducting proper evaluations and confidence votes at the grassroots level; he hastily transferred Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh in violation of regulations; and disciplined Mr. Ha Huy Binh improperly, resulting in a reprimand.
Furthermore, Mr. Nam signed a decision to transfer student Dao Van Huong from the Business Administration Faculty of Tay Bac University to the Banking and Finance class (K50) even though this student did not meet the eligibility requirements.
During the disciplinary review process, the Ministry of Education and Training also considered several mitigating circumstances, such as Mr. Nam's self-criticism before the Disciplinary Council, in which he demonstrated a profound sense of responsibility as the head of the unit for the shortcomings and violations of the school. Throughout his career, Mr. Nam achieved many accomplishments and made significant contributions to improving the quality of education at the school. During the inspection, no evidence of corruption, embezzlement, or personal gain by Mr. Nam was found.
Based on that, the Ministry decided to issue a warning to Mr. Nguyen Van Nam. Mr. Nguyen Van Nam will serve a disciplinary period of 12 months, effective from April 4, 2013.
Also on the afternoon of April 4th, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a document announcing the reprimand of three deputy principals of the school for shortcomings and violations related to their responsibilities in their work.
