The violations of Mr. Nguyen Van Nam were concluded by the Ministry of Education and Training inspectorate as issuing a number of school management documents that were not in accordance with the law, converting the Banking - Finance department into the Banking - Finance Institute without discussing and collecting opinions at the grassroots level; separating the Finance and Monetary department without consulting the Faculty Board and the Scientific Council.

In addition, he also appointed 49 local source cadres without the step of commenting, evaluating cadres and taking a vote of confidence at the grassroots level; hastily transferred Mr. Pham Ngoc Linh against regulations, disciplined Mr. Ha Huy Binh against the law, receiving a reprimand.

In addition, Mr. Nam signed the decision to transfer student Dao Van Huong from the Faculty of Business Administration of Tay Bac University to the Banking and Finance class (K50) while this student did not meet the requirements.

During the process of reviewing the form of discipline, the Ministry of Education and Training also considered many mitigating circumstances such as the self-criticism before the Disciplinary Council, Mr. Nam showed quite a deep sense of responsibility as the head of the unit in the shortcomings and violations of the school. During his work, Mr. Nam had many achievements. He also made many contributions to improving the quality of training at the school. During the inspection process, it was not discovered that Mr. Nam was corrupt or embezzled for personal gain.

Based on that, the Ministry decided to issue a warning to Mr. Nguyen Van Nam. The disciplinary period for Mr. Nguyen Van Nam is 12 months, starting from April 4, 2013.

Also on the afternoon of April 4, the Ministry of Education and Training also issued a document announcing the criticism of civil servants against 3 vice principals of the School due to shortcomings and violations related to responsibilities at work.
