Today, VietNamNet's private source said that the Dong Thap Province Department of Health has just issued a disciplinary decision against Mr. Pham Van Nong - Director of Thanh Binh District General Hospital. Mr. Nong is the person who appointed his epileptic son as Deputy Head of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging - Testing of Thanh Binh General Hospital.

Mr. Pham Van Nong was disciplined with a warning.

According to the decision, Mr. Nong was disciplined with a warning for violating the responsibility regime of unit heads in managing and implementing recruitment and appointment of civil servants not in accordance with legal regulations.

Specifically, on October 30, 2012, the Department of Health of Dong Thap province signed a decision to recognize the recruitment results of Mr. Pham Trung Hieu (born in 1987) - Mr. Nong's biological son - to work at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging - Testing, Thanh Binh District General Hospital.

In April 2013, Mr. Nong signed a decision to appoint his son as Deputy Head of Department.

The results of the inspection and verification by the competent authorities showed that the appointment of Mr. Pham Trung Hieu was not in accordance with the law. Specifically, Mr. Hieu was appointed while he was still in probationary period and did not have a health certificate from a competent health authority.

Mr. Nong admitted that his son had epilepsy. In addition, the assignment of Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Ngan (Mr. Nong's daughter-in-law) to work in the Finance - Accounting Department, with the task of synthesizing health insurance settlements, is not in accordance with the law.

Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has directed to cancel the Decision to appoint Mr. Pham Trung Hieu as Deputy Head of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging - Testing. At the same time, transfer Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Ngan to another position to ensure that it is suitable for her expertise and profession.
