Discipline and demote officials related to the 8B Le Truc case
The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Document No. 1344 signed by Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung, agreeing with the proposed content of disciplinary action against officials, civil servants, and public employees of the Department of Construction and Ba Dinh District for violations at the construction site at 8B Le Truc (Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh).

Accordingly, the City People's Committee agreed with the proposal to discipline officials, civil servants and public employees of the Department of Construction and the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District related to the violations at the construction site at 8B Le Truc (Dien Bien Ward). At the same time, the city requested the collective leadership of the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District to seriously review and learn from experience in the management of construction order in the district, not to let similar violations occur in the area.
The Hanoi People's Committee also requested the Department of Construction to gain experience in managing, handing over, and receiving staff and civil servants when there are adjustments to the Department's apparatus and organization.
Previously, the Department of Construction sent a document to the city to decide on disciplinary measures for the relevant groups and individuals. Specifically, the Construction Inspection Team of Ba Dinh District and the Department of Construction Inspection seriously reviewed and learned from experience. For the officers and civil servants who have committed violations under the authority of the Disciplinary Council of the Department of Construction Inspectorate, the Director of the Department decided to issue a decision to discipline 4 officers including: Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Inspector, former head of the Construction Inspection Team of Dien Bien Ward, belonging to the Construction Inspection Team of Ba Dinh District, applying the form of forced dismissal, but because he has transferred to another job, he has notified the locality where he currently resides and works. Mr. Pham Quoc Hung - specialist of the Construction Inspection Team of Ba Dinh District, applying the form of warning, transferring to another job. Mr. An Quoc Viet - Officer of the Construction Inspection Team of Ba Dinh District, applying the form of warning, transferring to another job.
The report also stated that the retired cases of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Former Deputy Director of the Department of Construction and Ms. Le Thi Nhung - Former Head of the Department of Construction Management and Licensing are not subject to the disciplinary regulations for civil servants as stipulated in Decree No. 34/2011/ND-CP.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District signed a decision to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Tran Manh Quan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien Ward.
