Disciplinary action against Head of District Party Committee for using fake university degree

On September 8, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced that it had issued a disciplinary decision against Mr. Le Kim Khoa - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the Chu Se District Party Committee, Gia Lai Province, for using a fake university degree in his personal profile.
The disciplinary action taken is to remove Mr. Le Kim Khoa from all his positions in the Party. After deciding on Party discipline, the competent authorities will continue to consider and handle Mr. Khoa in terms of the government.
Previously, as reported, in the profile of Mr. Le Kim Khoa (born in 1972), Head of the Organization Committee of Chu Se District Party Committee, Gia Lai province, there is a university degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.
The certificate was issued on August 18, 2008; training type "In-service"; major "State Bank Finance"; ranked "Good" and recognized with the title "Bachelor of Economics."
The diploma is stamped by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, notarized copy of the signature of the Principal, Associate Professor, Doctor Pham Van Nang, registration number 264/DHKT-DTTC/TN/2008.
However, at the request of Gia Lai province authorities, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics determined that Mr. Le Kim Khoa (born April 13, 1972, hometown Binh Dinh) was not on the school's list of degree-granting students.
