Lam Kinh Festival 2022, commemorating the 604th anniversary of Lam Son uprising, the 594th anniversary of King Le Thai To's coronation, the 589th anniversary of the death of national hero Le Loi and the 10th anniversary of Lam Kinh historical relic being recognized as a special national relic, took place in a solemn, respectful and dignified atmosphere. Including traditional rituals such as the procession of King Le Thai To's palanquin and Trung Tuc Vuong Le Lai's palanquin; the incense offering ceremony to inform the Emperor Thai To Cao Hoang De.

After the rituals, on behalf of the Party Committee, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province, Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, read a speech affirming the role and significance of the Lam Son uprising and the merits of King Le Thai To; honoring the unique and precious values ​​of the Lam Son relic site. At the same time, he emphasized the responsibility and contribution of all levels, sectors, localities and people in the work of preserving and promoting the values ​​of Lam Kinh heritage.

The speech emphasized: After the Ho Dynasty (1407), Dai Viet fell under the domination of the Ming Dynasty. With the spirit of patriotism and hatred for the enemy, in 1416 at Lung Nhai, Le Loi and 18 talented and trusted generals held a ceremony to swear their determination to fight against the Ming invaders, regain the country, and free the people from slavery. The sacred oath spread and attracted heroes from all over the country to gather at Lam Son. On the second day of the Lunar New Year in the year of Mau Tuat (1418), in the Lam Son mountainous area, under the leadership of Le Loi, the Lam Son uprising broke out.

After 10 years of "tasting honey and lying on thorns", in 1428 the Lam Son uprising won a complete victory, the invaders were swept out of the country, and national independence was restored. The Lam Son uprising created one of the pinnacles in the history of our nation's struggle to defend the country; becoming a symbol of our people's ardent patriotism, heroic will, indomitable spirit and determination to repel invaders during the feudal period.

After the country was at peace, in April of the year Mau Thin 1428, Le Loi ascended the throne as Emperor, took the reign name Thuan Thien, restored the national name Dai Viet and established the Later Le dynasty which lasted for more than 360 years. This was the period when Dai Viet was revived and became one of the most prosperous countries in Southeast Asia in the second half of the 15th century.

Along with the construction of Dong Kinh (Thang Long) as the capital of the country, Lam Kinh was also changed to Tay Kinh. On August 22, Quy Suu year 1433, King Le Thai To passed away and was buried at Vinh Lang in Lam Son land and Lam Kinh temple complex was also started to be built from here. Lam Kinh relic includes many architectural works serving the religious function, paying tribute to the ancestors of the Le dynasty, is the resting place of kings and queen mothers of the Le dynasty, with a landscape system creating harmony in an architectural space closely connected with nature.

With its outstanding values, on September 27, 2012, Lam Kinh relic was recognized by the Prime Minister as a special National Monument.

Over the past 10 years, with the attention of the Government, ministries and branches at the Central level, the determination of leadership and direction of the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Thanh Hoa province, the relic site has been invested with large resources to serve the work of conservation and promotion of value. Thanks to that, many important construction items of the relic site have been restored. At the same time, 5 steles have been recognized as national treasures; 18 trees have been recognized as heritage trees; 7 collections have been classified and registered including: pottery, porcelain, bricks, tiles, architectural decorative materials, metals; 1,031 original artifacts have been collected...

With its rich history, culture and natural beauty, Lam Kinh is becoming one of the most attractive cultural and spiritual destinations in Thanh Hoa today...

After the ceremony was an art program with the theme "Lam Son's heroic spirit - shining forever".

The program was elaborately staged, rich in symbolism and artistry, with the following sections: "Lam Son's heroic spirit - Heroes gather righteousness"; "Binh Dinh Vuong crowned Emperor"; "Following the footsteps of his ancestors, Thanh Hoa on the path of innovation". Thereby, vividly recreating a heroic period of the nation's history with the great contributions of National Hero Le Loi, our generals and people in the fight against the Ming invaders, regaining independence and building a prosperous and developed country.

In addition, the festival also features a combination of unique performances such as Xuan Pha, Dong Anh lantern dance, Muong gong performance, Dao ethnic bowl dance... creating an artistic space imbued with national identity, leaving many echoes and beautiful impressions in the hearts of people and tourists from all over.

At the same time, it is an opportunity to introduce and promote the beauty of the land and people of Thanh Hoa along with many potentials and strengths in developing tourism economy to domestic and international friends and tourists. Thereby, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals in the spirit of Resolution No. 58-NQ/TW dated August 5, 2020 of the Politburo on building and developing Thanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045 and the Resolution of the 19th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
