These days, people from many places across Russia flock to the capital Moscow and line up on Red Square to visit the mausoleum of leader V. Lenin. For a part of the Russian people, the role of leader Lenin and the value of the Great October Revolution are still respected.
Sergei and his wife, who came from Ulianovsk city to visit Lenin for the first time, shared: “I am from Ulianovsk. We are from the same hometown as Lenin, so we want to see him. We are very proud of him.”
“This is my third visit to the mausoleum, the first time was in the 1970s, when I was a child. There were so many people, there was a long queue through the Aleksander flower garden,” said Vladimir from Kursk province.
Genady, from Siberia, recalls the difficult times in Russia before the October Revolution: “It was a very difficult time for Russia, for the Russian people. Under Lenin’s leadership, the Communist Party was founded, the revolution took place, and as a result, power was in the hands of the people. We felt that everything was good and we lived well. I was born in that time, a member of the Soviet Communist Party. We were educated in this ideology, so we all cherished our past.”
According to him, now everything has changed, it is necessary to adapt and live in the new situation, but it is okay.
To solemnly commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Great October Revolution, this afternoon, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Communist Party faction in the State Duma, the Moscow City Committee and the Moscow Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Executive Committee of the Lenin Communist Youth Union, and social organizations of the left-wing people's patriotic movement will hold a wreath-laying ceremony at the mausoleum of Lenin on Red Square. This will be followed by a commemorative rally.
105 years ago, the success of the October Revolution completely changed the fate of Russia, building a new type of society, the first proletarian dictatorship in the world. The Great October brought to all people on this earth Marxism-Leninism and the idea of freedom and happiness that every worker deserved. The light of the revolution strongly encouraged the struggle of the working class internationally and in colonial countries, opening the way to liberate oppressed peoples all over the world./.
