(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of September 6, in Vinh City, Nafoods Group Joint Stock Company solemnly celebrated its 20th anniversary with the theme “20 years – A journey”.
Attending the ceremony were comrades Le Quoc Doanh, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ho Xuan Hung, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chairman of Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, partners of the Company from Switzerland, Taiwan... Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh provinces and many officers and employees of the Company.

Nafoods Group was established on August 26, 1995, with the purpose of producing and processing products for consumption in the beverage industry. This is also one of the leading enterprises in the province in processing agricultural products and applying new technology to production. From 2013 to present, Nafoods has changed its management model with a globally competitive agricultural value chain, closed from seeds, cultivation, livestock, processing. Nafoods has affirmed its vision, mission, and core values with the number 1 key product being passion fruit and the world's number 1 in exporting gac fruit.
Persistently following the chosen path, aiming at clean products produced by farmers, impressive export revenue figures have been continuously achieved by the Nafoods team and have continuously increased over time. From 10 million USD in revenue in 2010, Nafoods rose to 15 million USD in 2014 and is trying to complete the export revenue target of 25 million USD in 2015. The company's products have been affirming its brand in demanding markets such as the EU, US, Japan, Australia, Korea... Nafoods' main products include fruit juice; fresh and frozen vegetables and fruits; nutritious drinks and functional foods; aiming to build Nafoods into a leading brand domestically and internationally with the export and distribution of products in 50 countries around the world.

Currently, Nafoods Group is one of the enterprises in the province that has invested heavily in science and high technology in agriculture to create a closed agricultural value chain from varieties, crop areas to production, processing, export and domestic consumption. From a small and medium-sized enterprise in the locality, up to now, Nafoods has become a public company on the Hose stock exchange (Ho Chi Minh City) with clear goals and strategies. The important and meaningful issue that Nafoods has implemented is to develop a solid raw material area, creating stable and regular jobs for 500 officers, employees and thousands of workers growing raw materials and seasonal workers in many localities of the province. For gac trees, the revenue is more than 100 million VND/ha/year, passion fruit from 300 - 400 million VND/ha/year, contributing positively to the province's sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction. Especially the ethnic minority areas of the western districts of Nghe An.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development highly appreciates this, because if we do not know how to integrate, there will be no success. The Ministry commits to making the most effective efforts to support products originating from agricultural products in the coming time. In which, passion fruit is a promising direction.”
