(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of September 6th, in Vinh City, Nafoods Group Joint Stock Company solemnly celebrated its 20th anniversary with the theme “20 Years – A Journey”.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Quoc Doanh, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Ho Xuan Hung, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and President of the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development. Representing Nghe An province were Mr. Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; partners of the company from Switzerland, Taiwan, and other provinces; representatives from Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh; and a large number of company officials and employees.

Nafoods Group was established on August 26, 1995, with the aim of producing and processing products for consumption in the beverage industry. It is also one of the province's leading enterprises in processing agricultural products and applying new technologies to production. From 2013 to the present, Nafoods has changed its management model with a globally competitive, closed-loop agricultural value chain from seeds, cultivation, livestock farming, and processing. Nafoods has affirmed its vision, mission, and core values with its number one flagship product being passion fruit and being the world's number one exporter of gac fruit.
Persisting with its chosen path, focusing on clean products produced by farmers, Nafoods has continuously strived to achieve impressive export revenue figures, steadily increasing over time. From $10 million in revenue in 2010, Nafoods reached $15 million in 2014 and is aiming to achieve an export revenue target of $25 million in 2015. The company's products have been establishing their brand in demanding markets such as the EU, the US, Japan, Australia, and South Korea. Nafoods' main products include fruit juices; fresh and frozen vegetables and fruits; nutritional drinks and functional foods; aiming to build Nafoods into a leading brand domestically and internationally, exporting and distributing products to 50 countries worldwide.

Currently, Nafoods Group is one of the businesses in the province that has made significant investments in science and high technology in agriculture to create a closed agricultural value chain from seeds and growing areas to production, processing, export, and domestic consumption. From a small and medium-sized enterprise in the locality, Nafoods has now become a public company listed on the HOSE stock exchange (Ho Chi Minh City) with clear goals and strategies. A key achievement of Nafoods is the development of a stable raw material supply area, creating stable and regular employment for 500 employees and thousands of workers in planting raw materials and seasonal labor across many localities in the province. For gac fruit, it generates revenue of over 100 million VND/hectare/year, and passion fruit from 300-400 million VND/hectare/year, contributing positively to the province's sustainable poverty reduction efforts. This is especially true for the ethnic minority communities in the western districts of Nghe An province.

From Nghe An, the company has found a way to market its products domestically and internationally. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development highly appreciates this, because without knowing how to integrate, there would be no success. The Ministry is committed to making the most effective efforts to support products originating from agricultural products in the future. Among them, passion fruit is a promising direction.”
