Celebrating 50 years of Anh Son I High School

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 15, Anh Son I High School held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Also attending were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee and representatives of the Department of Education and Training, Anh Son district and many generations of teachers and students of the school.

Anh Son I High School was separated from Do Luong High School in the 1965-1966 school year. From the beginning with only 4 classes, 13 teachers, and nearly 200 students, the school now has 39 classes with 100 staff, teachers, and nearly 1,600 students. After 50 years of construction and growth, many generations of students of the school have achieved success, contributing to the construction and development of the homeland and the country.

In particular, in the period from 2000 to present, the school has set the following goals: Maintain and promote the excellent advanced unit at the provincial level, strive to achieve and maintain the title of cultural unit at the General Confederation level, build and maintain the school to meet national standards and become a key school of Nghe An province.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and praised the achievements that teachers and students of the school have achieved in the past 50 years. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: "The school needs to well implement Resolution No. 29 on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration; resolutions of Party congresses at all levels.

To do so, the school must continue to build a team of good staff and teachers; seek the attention and support of the Party Committee and government and carry out social work to build facilities to better meet the needs of teaching and learning.

On this occasion, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the school for its achievements in education and training, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland, and a congratulatory flower basket from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.
