Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Do Luong II High School

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 16, in Lam Son commune, Do Luong district, Do Luong II High School held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary (1965-2015). Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Minh Hong - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Pham Van Thanh - Vice President of Vietnam Education Trade Union; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee.

Also attending were representatives of the Department of Education and Training, leaders of Do Luong district and generations of students and teachers of the school.

Central and provincial delegates attended the ceremony.

Do Luong II High School was established in 1965 with only 6 classes in 3 grade levels, but up to now the school has solidified 3 high-rise buildings to meet the learning needs of 36 classes with more than 1,300 students.

The school's staff and teachers are all qualified. Currently, the school has 92 staff, teachers and employees, including 14 masters and 23 teachers recognized as good teachers at the provincial level. The quality of teaching and learning at the school is increasingly improved, the rate of students graduating each year is high. The rate of students passing the university entrance exam is also increasing.

During 50 years of construction and development, Do Luong II High School has been recognized as "Advanced Labor Collective" for many consecutive years, the Party Cell has been recognized as a Strong and Excellent Party Cell, the Trade Union has been recognized as an Excellent and Strong School, and the School Youth Union has received a Certificate of Merit from the Central Youth Union.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee spoke to acknowledge the school's achievements over the past 50 years.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements that teachers and students of the school have achieved in the past 50 years. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he emphasized: the school needs to closely follow the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee, Do Luong District Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term on education development to effectively implement Resolution No. 29on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education.

On this occasion, authorized by Mr. Le Hong Vinh, he awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the school for its achievements in the process of building and developing Do Luong II High School (1965 - 2015), contributing to the education and training of Nghe An province; presented the banner of the Provincial People's Committee to the school with the content: Do Luong II High School promotes the glorious tradition, solidarity, creativity, emulation in good teaching - good learning (1965 - 2015).

Comrade Pham Van Thanh - Vice President of Vietnam Education Trade Union awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Executive Committee of Vietnam Education Trade Union to the school union.

Comrade Nguyen Tat Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Luong district presented gifts from the district to the school.

At the same time, Comrade Pham Van Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union presented a Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Education Trade Union to the Trade Union of Do Luong II High School for its outstanding achievements in trade union activities on the occasion of the school's 50th anniversary. Comrade Nguyen Tat Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Do Luong District People's Committee presented a gift from the district to the school worth 70 million VND.
