Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of Hanh Lam commune (Thanh Chuong district)

(Baonghean) - On the morning of February 11th, Hanh Lam commune (Thanh Chuong district) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its establishment.

According to Decision No. 52 TC/CB dated February 11, 1954, of the Nghe An Resistance Administrative Committee, the old Minh Son commune was divided into four communes: Thanh Duc (now separated into two communes: Hanh Lam and Thanh Duc), Thanh My, Thanh Nho, and Thanh Hoa.

Leaders of Thanh Chuong district presented a banner to Hanh Lam commune on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.

Having undergone numerous mergers and divisions throughout history, Hanh Lam currently has over 10,000 hectares of natural land, 12 villages, and approximately 6,000 inhabitants. Building on the achievements of the past 60 years, Hanh Lam is gradually overcoming difficulties; identifying key tasks and priorities suitable to local conditions, creating a vibrant patriotic emulation movement, and building the commune into one of the comprehensively developed communes in terms of socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building, and the political system.
