Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the People's Security Forces' tradition day

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 8, Nghe An Provincial Police held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Security Forces' tradition day (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2016).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and representatives of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, officers and soldiers of the People's Security Force of Nghe An Public Security through the periods.

The People's Security Force was born and developed in association with the process of building, fighting and growing up of the Nghe An Police Force. Over the past 70 years, the Nghe An Security Force has continuously grown in all aspects, risen and achieved many glorious victories.

Entering the period of innovation, Nghe An security forces have quickly renewed their thinking and organization, made early and accurate forecasts of the situation, plots and activities of all types of subjects, and done a good job of advising Party committees and authorities to carry out the task of ensuring security and order.

In particular, from 2011 to present, security forces have coordinated to establish and effectively combat 16 professional plans, 13 special projects, arresting and neutralizing dozens of reactionary, opposing and other criminals.

People's Public Security officers and soldiers regularly closely monitor and learn about the living conditions of people in border areas, mountainous areas, and ethnic minorities.

In addition, Nghe An security forces always coordinate closely with military forces, border guards and forces of neighboring Laos, ensuring security and order in border, mountainous and ethnic areas. At the same time, proactively advise and coordinate to protect the safety of Party Congresses at all levels, elections of National Assembly deputies, People's Councils at all levels, major festivals, hundreds of high-ranking delegations of Party and State officials, international guests visiting and working in Nghe An...

In recognition of the achievements and contributions of the People's Security Force of Nghe An Public Security, the Party and State awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to 3 groups, dozens of groups and individuals were awarded the Medal of Military Exploit of all ranks, hundreds of officers and soldiers were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security and many other noble awards.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the People's Security Force of Nghe An Provincial Police in the cause of socio-economic development of the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the silent achievements of the People's Security Force of Nghe An Provincial Police in the cause of socio-economic development of the province.

He emphasized that in the coming time, in the context of rapid and complicated changes in the international, regional and domestic situations, it will pose a heavy task for the People's Security Force of Nghe An Provincial Police.

To successfully complete the assigned tasks, in the coming time, the people's security forces need to proactively grasp the situation, promptly advise the Party Committee and the government to direct the resolution of security and order issues, and avoid being surprised or passive. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen internal security protection, proactively grasp the situation and advise the province in attracting investment.

Along with that, promote the movement of all people to protect national security; take care to build a truly clean and strong Nghe An Public Security force according to the motto "Revolutionary, disciplined, elite and gradually modern".
