Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Nghe An Provincial Political School.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 17th, the Nghe An Provincial Political School held a ceremony to celebrate its 70th anniversary (November 18th, 1946 - November 18th, 2016).

Attending the ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Manh Cam - former member of the Politburo, former Deputy Prime Minister; Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - member of the Central Committee of the Party, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Dr. Dau Tuan Nam - Deputy Director of the Regional Academy of Politics No. 1; and representatives from the Political Schools of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, and Thanh Hoa provinces.

Representing Nghe An province were: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; representatives from provincial, district, city, and town-level departments, agencies, and branches; and generations of cadres, officials, and students of the Nghe An Provincial Political School throughout its history.

In her speech at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Principal of the Provincial Political School - affirmed: Over 70 years of construction and development, despite being organized under different models, names, and scales, divided into many branches and schools, or merged into a single unified school; with many types of programs and various forms of training and education, the School has always closely followed the political tasks of the Party Committee, promptly serving the training and education needs of cadres for the central tasks of each stage of the revolution.

Over the years, the Nghe An Provincial Political School has directly and collaboratively trained hundreds of classes and tens of thousands of students (from 1992 to the present, it has trained 637 classes with 45,782 students), with many diverse and rich forms, gradually standardizing the cadre, especially grassroots cadres, to meet the requirements set forth.

The school is also actively innovating its teaching methods; continuously improving the quality of teaching and learning, contributing to building a team of officials at all levels who increasingly meet the requirements of their tasks, and strengthening the province's political system.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

In addition, the school has actively promoted scientific research and practical experience summation, achieving encouraging results. Over the past period, the school has conducted research on 84 scientific projects at various levels. It has also organized numerous scientific conferences and research projects to support teaching and contribute to the socio-economic development of local areas.

The school has focused on building an organizational structure and a team of highly qualified, capable, and politically steadfast officials and staff with a strong sense of professionalism. 100% of the lecturers are standardized, the majority hold Master's degrees or higher, and five are currently doctoral candidates.

The school's infrastructure has been upgraded, renovated, and newly constructed, gradually meeting the requirements for teaching, research, learning, and living for staff, lecturers, and students.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Principal of the Provincial Political School - delivered a speech reviewing the 70-year tradition of building and developing the Provincial Political School.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - congratulated and highly appreciated the efforts and perseverance of the school's staff in overcoming difficulties, and commended the school's important achievements and great contributions to the revolutionary cause and the development of the province over the past 70 years.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the school should thoroughly understand and closely adhere to the resolutions and policies of the Party, the laws and regulations of the State, and the guidelines and regulations of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics on the training and development of cadres and scientific research, in order to effectively implement the training and development of cadres at all levels in political theory, leadership skills, and management methods.

On behalf of the President of Vietnam, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - presented the Second Class Labor Order from the President of Vietnam to the individuals.

Emphasis should be placed on closely linking theory and practice, knowledge and experience, and combining learning with action; diversifying training and development programs; and innovating teaching methods to improve the quality of political theory training and development for leading and managerial cadres, thereby directly achieving the goals and targets for cadre training and development set forth by the 18th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy - presented the Certificate of Commendation from the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy to the Provincial Political School.

Strengthening and improving the organizational structure, enhancing the quality and developing a strong team of faculty and staff with high qualifications, capabilities, moral character, and political acumen; paying attention to building a team of school leaders and managers who are up to par and meet the requirements of the school's political tasks in the new era.

Comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the Government's Emulation Flag to the Provincial Political School.

Innovate the school's operational management methods towards continuous improvement in operational structure, functions, tasks, organization, apparatus, and physical infrastructure to ensure suitability for the requirements of the new era.

Advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on the issuance of specific mechanisms and policies to effectively organize training and professional development activities for cadres, civil servants, and public employees; effectively implementing Project No. 12 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Building and developing the Nghe An Provincial Political School in the period 2015-2020, with a vision to 2030".

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - presented a banner from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front to the Provincial Political School.

On this occasion, the Provincial Political School was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit and a Banner of Emulation from the Prime Minister; a Certificate of Merit from President Ho Chi Minh; and a banner bearing the inscription "Nghe An Provincial Political School: 70 Years of Construction and Development" from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hien - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province (former Principal of the Provincial Political School) and Comrade Nguyen Ho Canh - Deputy Principal of the Provincial Political School were awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the President of Vietnam for their outstanding achievements in the construction and development of the Nghe An Provincial Political School.
