Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the tradition of the 4th Military Region Engineer Corps

(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of March 21, Military Region 4 held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the tradition of the Engineering Corps (March 25, 1946 - March 25, 2016). Attending the ceremony were Major General Tran Tien Dung, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4, Major General Tran Xuan Manh, Political Commissar of the Engineering Corps.

At the ceremony, delegates and generations of engineering cadres reviewed together the 70-year tradition of "opening the way to victory" of the Vietnamese engineering corps. Honored to be the first force, agency, and engineering platoon of the Vietnamese engineering corps, after 70 years of building, fighting and growing, from the beginning with rudimentary weapons, to date, the Engineering Corps of Military Region 4 has become a relatively modern force and an indispensable branch in the Military Region's armed forces.

During the two resistance wars against France and the US, the Military Region's engineering force, together with the army and people of Military Region 4, achieved many great victories. In the current cause of building and defending the Fatherland, the Military Region 4 engineering force always promotes the tradition of "Opening the way to victory", unites, overcomes difficulties, successfully completes training tasks, combat readiness, flood and storm prevention, performs concurrent tasks of preventing and fighting terrorism, search and rescue, overcomes the consequences of collapsed structures, builds combat structures, builds border patrol roads and checks for bombs, mines, explosives, etc. The engineering force is always appreciated and trusted by the Military Region Command to be assigned important tasks, together with the Military Region's Armed Forces, successfully completes assigned military and defense tasks, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive Military Region's Armed Forces.
