Commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the first Party branch in the western part of Nghe An province.
Ngày 12/4, xã Môn Sơn tổ chức Lễ kỷ niệm 95 năm thành lập Chi bộ Đảng đầu tiên ở miền Tây xứ Nghệ (4/1931 - 4/2026), đón nhận Bằng xếp hạng Di tích lịch sử quốc gia đặc biệt Nhà cụ Vi Văn Khang, khai mạc Đại hội Thể dục thể thao lần thứ I và Lễ hội Môn Sơn - Lục Dạ năm 2026.
Tham dự buổi lễ có đồng chí Hoàng Nghĩa Hiếu - Phó Bí thư Thường trực Tỉnh ủy, Chủ tịch Hội đồng nhân dân tỉnh; Nguyễn Đình Hùng - Ủy viên Ban Thường vụ Tỉnh ủy, Phó Chủ tịch Thường trực Ủy ban MTTQ tỉnh; cùng đại diện lãnh đạo các sở, ban, ngành, lãnh đạo các địa phương và đông đảo nhân dân, du khách.
Chi bộ Đảng đầu tiên ở miền Tây xứ Nghệ được thành lập vào tháng 4 năm 1931 tại bản Thái Hòa, xã Môn Sơn. Sự ra đời của Chi bộ là dấu mốc có ý nghĩa đặc biệt quan trọng, mở đầu cho phong trào cách mạng ở vùng đồng bào các dân tộc miền Tây Nghệ An, góp phần quan trọng vào cao trào Xô viết Nghệ Tĩnh 1930 - 1931.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged and praised the outstanding achievements that the Party Committee, government, and people of Mon Son commune have achieved over the past 95 years. He emphasized that this is a great source of pride, a testament to the resilient revolutionary tradition of the heroic Mon Son region; and urged the locality to continue promoting the tradition of unity, preserving and developing the value of historical relics and ethnic cultural identity, linking it with community tourism development, and gradually improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
Also on this occasion, Mon Son commune had the honor of receiving the Certificate of Ranking as a Special National Historical Monument for the House of Mr. Vi Van Khang - a red address with profound historical significance, closely associated with the revolutionary movement of the homeland and marking the birth of the first Party branch in the western region of Nghe An province.
Immediately following the ceremony, many unique cultural, sporting, and festive activities took place in a lively atmosphere, attracting a large number of locals and tourists, such as: a traditional food competition; a brocade weaving competition; sports competitions, folk games, etc.
