On the evening of April 17, in Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organized an art program to celebrate the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day on April 19, associated with the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the first Party cell in Western Nghe An in Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district.
Attending the program were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, localities in the province and a large number of people of Con Cuong district.

The art program to celebrate the anniversary has an important meaning in honoring the cultural identity and pride of the ethnic groups living in Vietnam and Nghe An province, and educating the tradition of loving the homeland and country. |

This is also an opportunity for ethnic people in the province to meet, exchange and introduce the good traditional cultural values of their ethnic groups; exchange experiences in preserving, maintaining and promoting traditional cultural values; promote and introduce the tourism potential of Western Nghe An; and strengthen the great national unity bloc. |

Along with the celebration of the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day is the 90th anniversary of the founding of the first Party cell in Western Nghe An. This is an important political event; an opportunity for everyone to review the heroic tradition of the revolutionary homeland.In April 1931, Mon Son Party Cell - the first Party Cell in the Western region of Nghe An was established, with 5 Party members. Comrade Vi Van Khang was elected as Party Cell Secretary.

The Mon Son Party Cell had many activities leading the revolutionary movement in Western Nghe An; making an important contribution to the revolutionary climax of 1930 - 1931 and the Nghe - Tinh Soviet Movement. The activities of the Mon Son Party Cell left brilliant milestones in the golden history of the ethnic minorities in the mountainous areas. |
