Celebrating the National Day of Laos and Thailand

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 1, Vinh University solemnly held the Ceremony to celebrate the 40th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2015) and the 88th National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand (December 5, 1927 - February 5, 2015).

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Ethnic Committee, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association, the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Nghe An province, and overseas students from Laos and Thailand.

The speech at the ceremony affirmed the friendship and traditional solidarity of the Party, State and people of Vietnam and Laos, and the State and people of Vietnam and Thailand, which is “forever green and everlasting”. To contribute to building the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos and Thailand, Vinh University has been cooperating with other countries in training; the number of Lao and Thai students studying at the university is over 450.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vinh University leaders also expressed their hope that Lao and Thai students would continue to make efforts to study and practice to contribute to building their homeland and country; contributing to building the close friendship between Vietnam - Laos and Vietnam - Thailand.

On this occasion, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association and the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Nghe An province awarded 7 scholarships to international students with excellent achievements in studying and training in the 2014-2015 school year.

Vinh University also awarded sports prizes to celebrate the National Day of Laos and Thailand to international students studying at the school.
