Ky Son: 30 students complete brocade weaving class
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of September 8, in Bac Ly commune, the Farmers' Association of Ky Son district held a closing ceremony for a traditional brocade weaving class for 30 female members of Buoc village, Bac Ly commune.
The class was held for 2 months, as the main activity in the cooperation program between the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center and the Farmers' Association of Ky Son district on the implementation of the project to support training in brocade weaving in the area.

At the end of the class, 30 students who are women from Buoc village have grasped the basic theories: introduction to brocade weaving, techniques of raising and caring for silkworms, techniques of dyeing silk and yarn, and methods of weaving patterns on products. In particular, the women have practiced and mastered weaving techniques on many types of looms: looms for weaving skirts, looms for weaving belts, and looms for weaving scarves.

During the 60-day course, students are introduced to brocade weaving, silkworm breeding and care techniques, silk and thread dyeing techniques, and methods of weaving various patterns on products.
The brocade weaving training class not only raises awareness and skills for women in the weaving profession, but also contributes to preserving and promoting national cultural identity.
